I will learn about still lives by creating a picture of vase with flowers. I will learn about a print by pressing circles and leaves. Resources/materials: paper, tempera paint green, blue, and white, leaves stamps. Instructional Plan: Engage: Read the Legend of the Bluebonnets. Explore: Students learn about the blue bonnet, Texas state flower. Look at the shape of the flower. Explain: Discuss the parts of the flower. Review painting rules and talk about the colors of the bluebonnet. Elaborate: Students paint a green stems on their paper. Students paint green leaves and stamp them on their paper. Students finger paint circles of the flower. Students finger paint the white tips of the bluebonnets on their flower. Assessment: Evaluate: Students show their pictures to their table teammates |
