Animal Etching

Resources/materials: white etching paper, pencil and etching tool Day 1 od 2 Instructional Plan: Engage: Watch video about advanced color song. Explore: Discuss etching paper and how to use it. Students choose an animal that has a pattern on its fur like spots or strips. Explain: Animal examples could be a zebra, cheetah, leopard, giraffe and tiger. How to Draw_ Zebra: Cheetah: Leopard: Tiger: Giraffe: Elaborate: Students create pick their animal and sketch the animal on the white etching paper. Students then etch their animal thinking about the positive and negative space. Assessment: Evaluate: Students add their etching into artsonia.
