Engage: Look at the Statue of Liberty have the students discuss what they see.
Explore: Watch the youtube video about the Statue of Liberty for Kids.
Explain: Printed is a tutorial for every student to see. In pencil there are drawn guidelines on paper.
1. Students make their drawing in pencil.
Elaborate:
2. The art is traced with a black crayon.
3. Stars are drawn in the background with lots of different colored crayons.
4. Using green paint for students to share they will need to color in their Statue of Liberty portrait.
5. The background is painted, over stars and all, with black paint
Assessment:
Evaluate: Students discuss their picture.
